Wabash College Partners with Matriculate
Wabash seeks to enroll high-achieving, low-income students
Crawfordsville, IN (03/25/2026) — Wabash College and Matriculate, a non-profit college access organization, have entered into a partnership creating opportunities for high-achieving, low-income high school students to attend excellent colleges and universities.
Launched in 2024, Matriculate's Pathways Partnership goal is to broaden opportunities for talented students to access selective colleges where they can thrive. Matriculate delivers knowledge, confidence, and support to students, and connects them to participating colleges. Matriculate advises 3,000 mission-driven high school students per year with a minimum 3.50 grade point average and test scores in the 90th percentile.
Each year, Wabash will meet the full demonstrated need for two students participating in Matriculate's programming.
"Wabash is all about providing access to a high-quality liberal arts education to talented young men regardless of their financial circumstances," said Scott E. Feller, Wabash College president. "That has been Wabash's model since our founding in 1832, and we are proud to partner with Matriculate to reach even more underrepresented students."
Partner institutions help Matriculate identify prospective high school students to receive free advising services and promote virtual advising fellowships on campus. The program meets a need for advising during the college search process by focusing on expanding access to selective colleges through personalized and regular contacts with counselors within its peer-advising model.
Beginning with the high school graduating class of 2027, Wabash will work with Matriculate to identify eligible high school students and assist by encouraging Wabash students to serve as volunteer advising fellows.

Since 2014, Matriculate has served more than 20,000 students and its participants are currently enrolled at more than 490 institutions nationwide. There are more than 20 partner institutions nationwide, including Emory, Georgia Tech, Gettysburg, Miami University, Notre Dame, Princeton, Stanford, Whitman, and Yale.
Matriculate is funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the organization that also supports the American Talent Initiative, which brings together a diverse set of public and private institutions united in a shared goal of educating 50,000 additional high-achieving, lower-income students across the country. Wabash is a long-standing member of the American Talent Initiative.
Located in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and founded in 1832, Wabash is a private liberal arts college, which teaches men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely.
